Maintenance Manager

About the Role

The maintenance manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all equipment and machinery within the manufacturing facility. The maintenance manager will oversee the maintenance staff, develop and implement maintenance plans, and work to minimize downtime and production disruptions. This role also involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing maintenance processes to control costs.

  • Overseeing maintenance operations by managing the overall maintenance of all equipment, facilities, and infrastructure within the factory.

  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans and creating schedules for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.

  • Supervising and coordinating the work of technicians, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel.

  • Minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment uptime to ensure uninterrupted production.

  • Optimizing resource allocation, managing budgets, and identifying cost-saving measures. 

  • Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and procedures to create a safe working environment. 

  • Identifying and addressing equipment malfunctions and ensuring timely repairs. 

  • Working closely with production, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth operations. 

  • Using data analysis and monitoring tools to anticipate potential equipment failures and prevent breakdowns. 

  • Ensuring that necessary spare parts are available to support maintenance activities. 

  • Providing training to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. 


Requirements

  • A Degree or Diploma in engineering or similar relevant field

  • Previous working experience as a Maintenance Manager for a minimum of 3 years

  • Hands on experience in planning maintenance operations

  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of engineering and technology​

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills

  • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be considered an advantage
